Independent family-run business
I initially trained on a residential course with specialist training centre MPL, accredited by City & Guilds and CORGI. My knowledge and experience has grown over the years with the ongoing support of my course leader, my fellow locksmiths and the wide variety of jobs I have undertaken. I am committed to non-destructive re-entry techniques and will only drill a lock as a last resort. Being able to pick a wide range of locks ensures I can keep charges as low as possible.
Life as a locksmith is certainly varied, from helping a family get back into their home late at night through to the excitement of picking a safe which was discovered during a house renovation (no diamonds, much to the disappointment of the new owner!) The common theme from all my jobs is the satisfaction of using my skills and experience to help my customers. I am fully equipped to gain entry, replace existing locks and security solutions or fit new ones. I am also trained in all aspects of UPVC window maintenance.
As is typical in an independent family-run business, the whole family get involved. Their contributions include marketing, web site development, administration and stock management. Bruce the Golden Retriever enjoys coming out with me sometimes. Bruce has his own sense of adventure, having been rescued from a canal in Turkey by the fantastic charity Happy Paws.
